US universities GRE Scores and their official websites data

Most of the American Universities require GRE for graduate admissions. GRE score act as an important admission criteria as there are thousands of students apply from around the globe and it is very likely that student past university may be unknown to the admission committee. Taking this into consideration, GRE serves as a standard test for all students regardless where student did his undergraduate studies. If GRE score is low and student undergrad university is absolutely unknown then the approval chances are slim. Having said that, a revised GRE score > 325 will very likely place a candidate into a top university. Just to make it easier, we have composed a list of 250+ US universities with GRE score requirements into graduate admissions.

Admissions into US Universities for GRE Scores > 333

Scores under this bracket – 334, 335, 336, 337, 338, 339, 340

Your GRE score is fine. The first and foremost thing you should know is GRE & TOEFL are not the only criteria considered during admissions by top notch universities. I have seen few people getting rejected with 325+ GRE in Stanford and also people with 300 getting through Yale university and a 303 getting into Stanford. Now, you decide what is the most important thing during admission. never ever depend only on GRE and TOEFL, Your profile should be stronger. Stronger in the sense not like having Good academics, many things fall under a strong profile, like paper presentations, research, Patents* (If any:Yes this works). Top notch universities would want an extraordinary student to study in their university not an average kid obviously. Hope I answered your Question (by moving out of your actual question).

Depends on lots of factors:

1. The timing of the application. If you apply early there are more chances of getting through because most universities follow rolling admissions.
2. Course applied. Generally CS and EE courses require higher GRE score
3. University. Many universities have higher cutoff score while others stress on the profile. You have to research a lot regarding the universities you want to apply and the criterion.
4. Having strong recommendation letters makes a difference.
